    1. Standardized Disassembly and Assembly Requirements The disassembly and assembly of the crankshaft must strictly follow standardized procedures. Any violation may lead to irreversible damage. Before disassembly, ensure the engine is completely cooled to prevent deformation of parts due to temperature differences. During assembly, pay special attention to the following points: Cleanliness and Lubrication: Before installation, thoroughly clean the crankshaft with cleaning oil and dry it with compressed air, ensuring that there are no foreign objects in the oil holes of the main journals and connecting rod journals. During assembly, apply a layer of fresh engine oil evenly to the journal surface to reduce dry friction during initial startup. Strictly Prohibit Hard Contact: When hoisting the crankshaft, never hang metal hooks directly on it. Use cloth straps or special soft pads as support points to prevent scratching the precision-machined journal surfaces. Precise Alignment: When installing the main bearings, ensure the locating lugs on the bearings are aligned with the cylinder block grooves, and that the bearing oil holes are connected to the cylinder block oil holes. When installing the thrust washers, ensure their grooves face outwards. Proper Tightening: Tighten the main bearing cap bolts in stages according to the torque and sequence specified by the manufacturer (usually from the center outwards in a crisscross pattern) to prevent the crankshaft from bending and deforming due to uneven stress.   2. Daily Operation and Condition Monitoring: During daily forklift use, operators and maintenance personnel should closely monitor the operating status of the crankshaft and related components to prevent potential problems: Oil Quality Monitoring: Engine oil is the crankshaft's "protective shield." Regularly check the oil's color, viscosity, and level. If a large amount of metal shavings is found in the engine oil, it usually indicates severe wear of the crankshaft bearings or connecting rod bearings, or even damage to the crankshaft journal itself, requiring immediate shutdown and inspection. If the engine oil is abnormally viscous, it indicates that it has not been changed on time, leading to poor lubrication. Noise and Vibration Troubleshooting: When the crankshaft is worn or the bearing clearance is excessive, the engine will emit a dull metallic knocking sound during operation. If any abnormal noise or severe vibration is detected, operation should be stopped immediately and the problem investigated to prevent minor issues from escalating into major problems, leading to crankshaft breakage or engine failure. Leak Prevention and Sealing Inspection: The sealing performance of the front and rear crankshaft oil seals is crucial. If the rear crankshaft oil seal is aged and leaks, engine oil will seep into the clutch, causing the friction plates to become contaminated, slip, or even burn out; if the front oil seal leaks, it will contaminate the timing gear chamber. Any leaks should be addressed by replacing the oil seals promptly.   3. Wear Assessment and Repair Recommendations The crankshaft is a high-precision core component. During Level II or III deep maintenance, a comprehensive assessment is required: Clearance and Wear Measurement: After disassembly, carefully inspect the wear of the connecting rod bearings and crankshaft bearings. If the crankshaft journal wear is minor, its geometry can be restored through professional crankshaft grinding, and it can be used with larger bearings. If the wear exceeds the limit or cracks appear, it must be forcibly replaced. Preventing Human-Induced Damage: During maintenance, tools must be properly stored, and metal tools such as wrenches and screwdrivers must be prevented from hitting the crankshaft timing gear or journal surface. Even small protrusions or scratches can cause severe stress concentration and abnormal wear under high-speed operation. Parts Selection: When replacing the crankshaft or related bearings, always use original or high-quality genuine parts to ensure that the dynamic balance parameters and material hardness meet standards, avoiding premature engine damage due to inferior parts.
